Quick 1/4 panel question

Post by Anonymous »

Hi guys,
Fitting eom spec rears, and nothing else except trunk floor and one outer wheel house.
Car is bolted to a floor standing (4 mount) jig stand, one guy said it would be better to fit the quarter with the axle re fitted on its wheels.
Any thoughts?

Thanks

Yes it would be better to put the car the car is in its own suspension,

a mate of mine did his on a jig did all the body work and paint,

and as soon as he put it on wheels the 1/4 was warped,

so it is a good idea for structure flex to put it on the wheels not on a jig, stands, rotisserie :mytwocents:

I would fit rear leafs and axle stand under the middle of leaf (where axle goes)

Front i would just put 2 axle stands umder front (where front axle goes)

Did all my welding with the car upside down on a rotisery and nothing happened didnt do rear quaters.
