Clivey, when I lay a basecoat down it NEVER looks that rough. If it did, I would then have to spend hours sanding it. Who pays for that?
Sure, block sand the primer for a nice flat key. Then base it. Followed by the clear. Last time I saw paint laid on like that was celly paint!
latest materials and equipment allow you to lay lovely flat coats, using less materials and saving a lot of time and money.
Most of the time, I now only need to use 1 1/2 coats of clear for a perfect finish. I dont even have to sand and buff, unless the client is looking for an extra special custom finish. I hope the boss fella (Ivor ) agrees? Perhaps I am doing it wrong!?
But hey! They must know what they are doing. They are earning a lot more than I am....
If I had to do all that sanding, I would have to charge a lot mopre for my work. HHHmmmmmmmm...... Perhaps I AM doing it all wrong!

I am keeping this Mopar....... SOLD!
