Anyone tried dying rubber parts??

Im getting desperate now for some proper rubber mats for my car.... Cant find any black but I can get blue or green.... Anyone had any secces dying rubber?? Do you think it would be possible to dye them black somehow???

think your be forver re dyeing them , with feet going in & out of the car ,
think if were me , & could not get black ,& in a rush to get mats , would go for green & leave as is , there are loads of SS1 / Y2 mopars with yellow & green interiors !

Thanks Steveo and tending to agree.... Think ok for show cars etc but not cars regularly used. Im sorted now, found an as new factory set from 69 in Canada. $125 and they are really almost faultless... And the guy selling is bringing them over from Winnipeg on a trip later in the month... Result!!

Just used smooth hamerite style paint from wickes on my vinyl and foam door handle arm rests. They are squishy like rubber and it's been on for about a year and not come off....I.e it shouldn't work. But it does
