Edit, Sorry Wolfman i should read the OP better. May be worth finding out what PCD the Motalita is and seeing if other mopar boss related manufacturers do the same size, or make yourself an adaptor plate! :thumbright:

Am I correct in thinking I could fit something like a 68-69 charger dished wheel instead of a flat wheel and do away with the crush can on mine? :read2:

When I think that my mates shop used to sell Mota Lita wheels and what they sell for today , when he closed down I should have got his old stock and they did a boss for e bods ,a bods, even c bods nice wood wheels as well can you still get them ? if you can get a boss ANTON on here does a nice wheel but it takes some time for him to do it try him if you want a one off custom jobby

Does anyone know if the splines on the colunm are the same on E bods and B bodies  As I have bought a grant wheel and have now found out they don't do a boss kit for it

Have you tried Customville? Many years back Blue sourced me a metal flake dished steering wheel (grant/superior copy) for my e body.

I got a fitting kit from Customville which fitted a treat (comes with horn 'button' and uses the original horn wiring), and does away with crush sleeve.

It makes the driving position much more acceptable as it has put the wheel an inch or so closer to the dash (still has plenty of clearance)...

Not sure about B steering wheel on an E - I guess it's the steering wheel-to-column interface that needs to be looked at as well as the splines/diameter (we all know Mopar and lack of cross-car commonality  )

I have wanted to do away with the crush can Too, as I have always felt the steering wheel is too close and I like dished wheels :D
Well I have been talking to Grants and apparently they do a boss kit for the classic range to fit mine (3314). So i have ordered one with wasp but his catalogue says It won't work? so I will wait and see

I think that was the same kit I used. I've still got the destructions but not the box (only threw the box away just t'other day  )

Give it a stab, and let me know if you need any pictures of my set-up (as it is very easy to dismantle - simple kit!) :thumbright:

Sounds like you will appreciate the better driving position, too :)
