Great result - it shows that some of the gals have a real aptitude for racing - to get within .2 of your time 4th time out is a real achievment!

Mind you, I bet she has a bit of a weight advantage ;) ;)

yes Steve, I reckon that cos he must've fitted his new fuel system?...and it gave him some inspiration...which is good and the way forward.

You can flog the same stuff for ages making small changes and try and creep up those 9's which is a worthwhile way, but there comes a limit to what you can do with what you got once everythings sorted.

2 tenths is a lot to gain at that level without making some bigger changes, ie...camshaft, carb/s, and or gears/tyres, but that will require more rpm.

He's got a nice sorted combination there but I reckon he's gotta throw more at it to get into those 9's.

I wish him the best, its a quick car for a 440.

No doubt Mick will be along soon Les, but I reckon theres a 10 dead in that car just as it is. If he could have got another run in Sat. it might well have happened as conditions were just right. I must say the place was heaving, I don't think I've ever seen such a big turn out for this event, the world and his mother was there....

yes not impossible John, missed it running at the Nats, was in the front of the fire up road and his starter broke.......
hope he does it, reckon with that roller and the Dommy there's 9.8's in that car...just gonna be getting a bit up in the rpm stakes for the hemi pick-up mod he's running if he ain't done the oilways...me thinks?

Sounds like it was a great weekend.......I went fishing for Carp :)

Thanks for the praise, the truth is, me and the car are nothing spectacular to look at but the car delivers pretty good for a basic combo and without trying to sound like i'm boasting, i agree with Blue, from the crisp motor tone on sat evening, i'm convinced it would have gone a 10.0 something.
With the extra 200 rpm chip i put in, it ran over 131 three times on the sunday but strangely didn't beat the sat et.
Just like to add, congrats to everyone else who ran well, two not mentioned here, Jon Connelly 10.16 at 130 and Cliff Turner 9.37 at 144.
Had a great time and a good laugh as well.
