...but that would include watching porn, which I have no doubt most of us have done. How does that add to the argument supporting an allegation of sexually assaulting minors (as opposed to miners: large gruff northern men who drink warm flat beer, eat coal and fart alot)?

I wasn't making any generalisations. I just commented that a guy that lives with his mum all his life is odd. Which it is. I was not suggesting it makes him a kiddy fiddler.

A good friend of mine (single mum) recently dated a 45 year old guy who has lived with his mum all his life. He seemed OK for the first couple of months but then the problems started. She had to pack him in after 6 months. He wouldn't let her chat to any other men and if she was out without him she was getting text messages every 5 mins from him demanding to know who she was talking too.

Now when it comes to Jimmy S. I never liked him period. These allegations have nothing to do with that. Like many others I grew up with him doing TOTPs and Jim'll fix it etc. But even as a kid I knew a creep when I saw one. My Mum didn't like him either. She was always a very good judge of character.

i think that says a lot.

it was well known that during the 60s and early 70s jimi lived in his mini van which was equipped with matress in the back, he used to tempt the ladies back with promises of star shaped glasses and jingle jingle jewelery.
Now that is a little odd, couldn't take the ladies home cos of mum... most would get a flat.

I liked Gary Glitter as a child....luckily he didn't like me.

my exact point

its piffle until the courts get involved

and then its still piffle

until they pass judgement because the papers will print in line with the most outrageous view in order to make sales

and then its probably a case of reading between the lines

would you be happy about you daughter dateing john terry or craig charles

both are not particularly nice charcters in my book, there is visiual proof of the formers indescretion so thats easy to make your mind up on, the latter? well he is innocent or he got off...

is Mr collins a wife beating loony....probably not

did he get annoyed with his odd choice in illicit lady fun

probably

did he slap her face when she was self harming

possibly

but we won't have enough to make a personal judgemnet until the courts judgement is passed

The other factor with Jimmy S. was his contacts in the westling and club world.

Again it is just rumor. But many people have said they were intimidated if there was any suggestion of speaking about him in any negative way. He did know some very unsavory people.

He was also named by one of the people that claim they were abused in Jersey as a teenager.

He should be made a Saint. Saint Jimmy of Stoke Mandeville.

Why i fully agree that all this comes out a year after his dead is baffling and wrong in my eye's.....Why not straight away or even better when he's alive and your an adult????

I never liked him, and i did watch Louis Theroux's TV programme.

I can tell you one thing from watching that alone....I would not leave any less abled person or minor (male or female) with him.

Yes, some people can be weird and thats not reson for ridicule and allegations, this guy to me was quite clearly not right in the head!

Mr Jackson would be another one i'd add to the 'off piste' mentally list!
