Nope sorry, Welsh and Scottish are the same as English- our Nationality is still British.
We have our own parliaments, but they're just for show really ;)
No-one will believe you...

Im not saying that, Im saying the Welsh and Scottish are allowed to call themselvesWelsh or Scottish but us English have to say we are British, its the English Govenment telling us we have to call ourselves British. Just like we are not allowed to celebrate St George's day

I'm not sure you're 'not allowed'. No one's actually going to arrest you for it!
I agree it's definitely frowned upon, possibly because the English violently oppressed the Irish, Scottish and Welsh for centuries so the more nationalistic Celts tend to get a bit resentful of any English 'showing off'.

i once had to stand on my table at a pub quiz in the Lord Nelson Pub
Waverley cross, Sydney...as a protest at coming second in the pub quiz becasue my answer to a question that said name 3 countries that begin with E

included England

and according to the lady off the aussie version of loose women who also happend to run the quiz

England isn't a country but Scotland and Wales are

needless to say i was backed up by a man in a rangers top and a fella with a beautifull singing voice who insited if it wasn't they'd both have been born on islands. I didn't follow their argument at the time but was happy in the face of huge adversity to accept their assistance in my quest for recognition.
I was eventually coaxed back into my seat to resume consumption of my English beer Carling ??! (candian Irish cooking larger) as opposed to my usual Tooheys (australian Irish cooking larger)

Mmm

makes ya think, but i haven't descided what about yet
