It was a night club mate. Not a regular music hall. It was about 1976? before I could get past the doormen. We used to go there after the pubs shut when it was just the rock disco. But if a good band was on you had to go earlier.

Probably. I had never heard of them when I went and I was too busy copping off with a drunk girl.
But a couple of years later I got a cassette copy of their double live album and loved it. I really must replace it one day but these days I don't play much music on teh hi-fi.
I mainly just listen to Planet Rock, Absolute Classic Rock, or I just add stuff to my playlist on Spotify on my laptop and play everything though the kitchen sound system while I am cooking and/or eating.
Just watche Buddy Guy on later... Guitar heroes.... Bananarama! me boys.... Hes still got it!!! And the Chillies, fantastic! Programme only spoilt by the White Stripes playin at it!!
Well it is still friday here so I heard this I think this song is (WAS) cutting edge, the beginning of hard rock/metal.........in a way just my opinion ,when I first heard it it was sucked in to this type of music ,starts out slow and then kicks in.then mellow and rocks more ,Ray Davies.......PURE LEGEND ....over here anyway
