Good day out, great to see everyone.

The Barracuda ran straight and true, no dramas.

Biggest concern was the trans temp hitting 240 degrees F without using the transbrake.
Not sure if this is due to the location of the the Cooler (Under the rear as suggested by Mr Hauser), the size of it, or the fact that the fluid is "short circuiting" through the Cooler - however it felt bloody hot to the touch.
I don't think we can take the car out again until we get this sorted.............

However, everything worked, nothing broke and we had a good time so I guess that is a good result first time out........ :thumbright:

Only 5 passes.
Last one was 10.61 at 128mph. Not great. Much to think about. Early days......

It did 2 runs back to back that got the trans that hot.............

Nice one Pete, thats not too shabby for starters, what were you revving to 6500?.....that motor will make power to 7800!!.....bit more track time and you'll be in the 9's.....

I think the cam is too much for my combo; it is just starting to pull hard when the shift light comes on at 6500.

It will go better on the Transbrake but that is just hiding the fact that, given my desire to limit RPM to 7000, I need to install a less radical cam that would produce more torque and a power over a lower rev range...........all a bit of fun though......
