This is why I love this forum!

Gents, lost count of the times I have had great advice, delivered with manners, sympathy for my lack of knowledge, and patience from the pros on here and it made me realise how much I appreciate this club and its members when I read this thread.... Stick with it.... Glad we dont have to suffer nonsense like this!

Cheers Steve :thumbright:

Yea, It quite often goes that way on the American boards, they can be a strange lot at times, it's more about oneupmanship than camaraderie half the time. This a small club, most of us have met each other and most of us enjoy the company of like minded people.

How the hell did i convince you i was knowledgable.............. :D

This is one hell of a club, i'll give you that.
Have had various offers of lended parts to help me through issues.

Even had parts, DVD's Manuals and advice all at the other guys expense and time......Never asked for cash, and refused when i offered too!! :thumbright:

I think the reality that Mopar ownership is quite a bespoke taste in the UK helps to maintain the strong bond too!

I would also say that its one of the few places where both wealthy and poor people (that'd be me then) and that financial divide is invisable.

I have been in clubs before where the Harry Enfield 'Considerably richer than you' rears up quite often.

Well posted Steve, i'll add to the kind thanks to all that have helped me.

Here's to more stupid questions.............. :help:

There is a lot of technical know-how in this club that's for sure. Not many you can go on and learn how to build a race car from scratch.

Other club forums are not quite so high tech.

For example.
Today I painted the brake calipers on my Alpha Romeo a nice bright red.
(See the exciting life I now lead?)

I didn't have to go on a forum to ask;

What is the best paint to use.
What is the best way to apply it.
Would it be better to get some plastic Brembo look-alike stick-on fake calipers off ebay.

Belive it or not there are several threads on that very subject on some of the Alpha forums.

SO DON'T YOU EVER THINK YOUR QUESTIONS ARE STUPID. Because believe you me. You guys are bloody genius compared to some of the knackers out there.

Oh crap. I just remembered someone started a thread about how to paint bracke calipers on here early this year.

So my sarcasm about other club forums was a bit missplaced.

Think it was me Dave... Askin how to paint the drums on my Polara metalflake purple with wilwood carved into them and braided hoses..... :D :D :D

On a serious note, one thing I learned from work over the years is how much better we learn and progress in a ' safe learning environment' . I thought all that stuff was Bananarama! but it isnt and we have a club where I, for one, feel happy asking questions, generating conversation and just learning from people who have forgotten more than I will ever know! And having a laugh along the way... ( usually at my expense I must add! :D :D )

Cheers gents, Steve :thumbright:

Being brutally honest Steve I find you to be a very offensive guy!
Not only that but unfriendly and completely unnaproachable too.

Your car is rubbish and you smell of urine sometimes.

Apart from that you're moderately tolerable
