Mind you, i took it round the industrial estate near me today while it was quiet - Duncs just freshened up the trans and it really put a smile on my face! Cant wait for next year :D You have a great car there matey and i hope you enjoy it :thumbright:

I remember us doing the "Pace car" bit in Rockingham - 3 abreast:

John Houlihan's 4 speed Daytona, my 4 speed 'Bird, and the 340 4 speed 'Petty car.....

We were doing all of 5mph

It was in 1999 at Knebworth. Completely stock and in a shade a fair bit darker than B5.

Knowing the Twins I'm sure they (or someone) will have a pic of it at the time.

Yes Jem, I've posted this one before; Damn Yankees, Blake Hall, Ongar, Essex, 1992

This is what I'd be aiming for 8-)
got some pictures too when it was in that colour combo , will dig them out & post them up :thumbright: from about 93 i think , might of even posted them before , i forget

I have just looked through the cars portfolio and found a colour formulation report dated 3/6/93 From Ipswich body repair centre. so maybe painted around that time? It was owned by a guy called Gary Keeler from ipswich at that time. It seems its been in the UK since 88, registered jan 89 Bought from David Hemenway, Englewood Colorado. Looks like a guy called Sam Moyse from Devon owned it in 89, Maybe he brought it in?

HI Carl

This is a TB3 Petty Blue Car :thumbright: i do not know why they painted it a different Blue? in the 90s? probably dull and wanted a change?

It was repainted again by another owner in the 2000s back to Petty Blue and the current 43 treatment.

The guy who did the Petty repaint was a PC in Wales,he was once a member here,he used it as a daily Driver for work often .....he also had the seats re trimmed with the Blue Stripes the trimmer that did the seats now makes or works on Music Videos did some for Maddona?

The car was not for sale when the PC he had it,he just got an offer he could not refuse so sold it for a fair amount probably over 20k from what i heard.
