Great day out, absolutely full of various classics, the Bentley Drivers Club were out in force and with my personal favourite - the No8 blower with race history - now thats a proper Bentley! Great to see Andy (roadrunner) and John (JPC)

Sorry Dunc, i did'nt mean that the way it sounded, it's just that i've always had a fascination for them ol' 20's blower Bentleys. My folks used to take me to them racing at Silverstone when i was a nipper, great memories. I had a short drive in a non-blower a few years ago, drove like an old truck but great though. There were quite a few GT's at the show today including a steel blue Mulliner with off white diamond pattern interior - NICE!

my old boss at the transmission place i served my time at instilled the bentley job in me he had a 1927 bentley open top tourer it was a non blower it was in black he had it sympatheticaly upgraded so he could tour europe etc in it we rebuilt the manual transmision blooody big gears etc in that i never drove it except backing it in out of the workshop he also had a british racing green 4 door bentley think that was around late 30,s he called that the derby bentley he had me wet flat and cut that back most yrs it had that much paint on it, he lost that one in a divorce jobbie but kept the tourer, he also had a jaguar ss but it had a straight 6 chrysler lump in it that sounded awesome with virtual straight through pipes he had the original entgine but never fitted it as the chrysler lump well suited it i did drive that to a classic car show at belle vue it broke down in moss side that is a rough place i was Bananarama! meself must only have been about 20 at the time fuel pump failed so he sent out an electric pump with a mate of mine rigged that up and limped it there, good memories poor bugger has passed now he had some tales to tell,
