I'd wip the tow hook off also and make it a screw in, just seems to shout out "i'm gonna break down"! Fantastic lookin motor tho. My missus got the hots for the new Bentley V8, i have to say it sounds the bo11ox and i'm tempted, but i bought a new Merc E class AMG convertible only 18 months ago and i reckon i'd lose a small fortune on the deal. Whats your take on the V8 Dunc? I know its not gonna have the grunt of the W12 but then i drive like an ol' fart anyway - except on the strip!

truth is don if i was not involved with this mopar muscle and drag racing then i would miss that v8 burble with my bentley, but as it is i really like the low key of the w12 it snarls when flat out but no one see,s you coming driving gently.
so in answer to your question the v8 would suit you perfectly they are really quick and got that sweet v8 sound and app are tweaked down in power so plenty to be had,
but like you said you stand to lose a fortune on your merc, same as me on mine thats why i will honestly never sell it so its losses are unimportant to me more for lou when i am gone :D
your wife would love the driving experiance of a bentley i have no doubt,
so a thumbs up from me we all know a v8 takes some beating,
