'69 B Body Front Suspension- stripping lower control arms

Post by GranSport »

Hi,
Trying to get my feeble Ford and GM brain around Mopar suspension.

Front suspension and torsion bars now stripped out of the RoadRunner.

Question about the lower control arm- Does the shaft bolting the arm to the K member, drive out towards the front of the car from the torsion bar side?

Also, should the bush in the lower control arm be pressed out and changed? I cannot see a replacement listed on the Superflex site:

http://www.superflex.co.uk/products.php?cat=105

Are they left in place or do I need to order from someone else?

Thanks
Eddie

also special thanks to Turnip who's upper ball joint socket worked wonders. I owe you.

Just remember to slap loads of assembly grease on the shafts, bushes etc.
Any skimping on that now will make noisy suspension later ;)
