Power Steering Fluid

Hey Chaps,

Been looking throught the workshop manual and it states #2084329 to be used. This is no longer available!

I've seen posted elsewhere that some modern PS oils can damage the seals/hoses within the PS system. Certainly don't need that!

I see that some places reccomend ATF+3 oils.........Confused by now.....I am!

What are you guys running and is it okay to just go down to halfrauds and get the stuff off the shelf.

Don't want to run red tranny fluid in it either!

Reccomendations welcome!

I always stuff in "F" type ATF....or Dextron or whatever comes to hand...........

I used Dextron too. Just don't use it in GM steering boxes. They need correct GM fluid as Dextron rots the seals.
