Richard's 1972 Dodge Dart

Post by 68Roadrunner »

Hi all, thought id post some pictures and info of my latest mopar, it’s a 72 dodge dart I bought from a friend last October, its an original v8 318 car with a 904, power steering power brakes front discs, its spent all its life in las Vegas until last year with one family owner 55,000 genuine miles, service history dealer paperwork, fender tag door sticker and build sheet I found behind rear seat, the car has zero rust. The colour is HB1 light blue, with white vinyl roof, which is knackered, B5 metallic blue interior.

The car ran in a fashion when I got it but needed plenty of work due to damage at the docks. I am in the process of repairing bits replacing bits and upgrading bits already done i.e. brakes steering suspension, hoses, belts, cooling, electrics, dash pad, various trim carpet. Rear suspension has been upgraded with edelbrock shocks and heavy duty leaves .gas shocks on front and fabricated brackets on front control arms and added a anti roll bar. Along with some 2 piece compo motive wheels I bought off fellow member davev8 which I have refurbished and now have 225 60 x15 on front and 245 60x15 on rear.

Engine and trans fully serviced, it know starts on the button drives and handles great, I have restored the grille and found some replacement rear lamps ebay thanks to davev8 again, the car now has a mot tax and UK registered, never had an A body before and being smaller than my roadrunner and satellite its easier to handle and abuse. Future plans are to fit a 4-barrel intake and carb headers, and make a dual exhaust system, renew the vinyl roof and maybe paint the car. I have a worked 360 but that can wait. Me and my son James are going to have a lot of fun in it, hope you like it.

Thanks to my friend Gordon for the pictures. HAVE FUN AND KEEP IT MOPAR.
Cheers
Richard and James.
