Other way round I'd say. Brave mods being near a rocker on a proper bike ;)

yeah but these young fellas aren't going to be bothered by an old git on an oily old bike

he's not doing any harm other than making the place look a mess.

he's got a helmet because later hes going to tell everyone he did 100 MPH
round the north circular from the A1 to the Ace cafe.

They got on really quite well except in the daily mirror
Rockers were good for some things

being an embarrasing older brother
suggesting appropriate heat range of plug
rebuilding your carb
spraying ya bike
and selling your dads records to

...and on that note, did you know that if you drove past a scooter on a real bike you could operate the Scooter's kick-starter and it turns into a catapult ;) ;) ;)

I'm rather reticent to admit I did in fact have a Vespa GS for a very short time.

It was very wobbly and I felt like I was heading straight for the casualty department, so I sold it for 30 quid...

You did them over ;)

The Best line I ever heard was when I phoned "Happy Hamrax" up for parts...

The converstaion went:
Ring Ring, Ring Ring,
Ring Ring,
Ring Ring,

Click.....

"Hello, Happy Hamrax here!"

"Hi there, I have a D14 /4, I...."

"I have a lake, we should get together some time........."

Still better than a scooter though........ :thumbright:

Happy Hamrax in Ladbroke Grove, I'd forgotten all about them!

Nothing wrong with a Bantam either, I've had a fair few, in fact I gave one away, while I was clearing out the garage last year and it still worked, even though it had been completely ignored for about 30 years...
