Bob Mosher Musclecars - brief visit.

Post by Stu Twin »

Seeing as we were in the area (ish) i contacted Bob Mosher a week or so before our visit to ask if it was ok to look around some of the cars he had in the 'shop' (Monrovia, a few miles west of Pomona). He limits his work to 62-65 Bodies - mostly Max Wedge & Hemi restos / recreations. though he did have an ex S/S 68 Hemi Dart in to be returned back to stock (ish). Shame really, as Bob admits the guy is spending in the region of $100k and he'll likely never use it.
Bob's a really nice guy who gave up an hour or two for a chat. I just wish I could afford his services.

Bob's 62 racecar which he drives to Irwindale on a thursday night.

Not 'arf Pete !
TBH I was looking forward to this as much as the 2 main events we were going for. And he was such a nice guy, loads of stories. He didn't seem too bothered about getting back to work. He's started doing his own engines & transmissions now, having been let down by his previous suppliers using cheap chinese parts. So it looks like it's just the bodywork that's farmed out now.
Maybe that's why some of those cars entered his place as far back as 2005 (looking at his website).

Going by the amount he has do the majority sit outside overnight?

Looks like a completely open carpark............something that would just never happen over here, or if you did most would be gone within a week!!

Love the Columbo car =P~

Is the reason it is not safe to leave cars out over here because we are not alowed to use Shotguns on trespassers? not a big fan of guns but they are good when it comes to scaring theives.
