To be honest those pics are quite representative of what was there. I didn't bother with pics of the bikes that had 2 tons of Taiwanese chrome on them. I must admit i liked a few of the 'plainer' black ones that were on display by the trade stands. And the ones with the massive (26") front wheels were just 'orrid.
And Ivor, there weren't any old ones there. Not even any Indians apart from on their trade stall.
Anyway, they've all got 2 wheels too few...

Gotta love the Duo Glide, Ivor; but I think it is a touch modern.

What about a Hydra Glide - cutting edge technology (in about 1949)

I had a '53 FL Pan.....it needed chopping SO badly, but I fell short of the task..........

Still excellent pix though Stu!

And Pete, the 1958 Duo Glide holds a special place for me because it was the first Harley I ever rode and to be honest the only one I really liked.

I seem to remember it had cane/bamboo grips, which made me wonder what they would be like on a wet day...nevertheless, even though it was like riding a two wheeled combine harvester, I'd still have one.

That or a Super Chief ;)
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

The bikes that taste forgot... HD certainly make sense in the US - I took one up and down Highway 1 a few years back, hilarious fun but hardly a motorcycle as europeans know them.
