But you will still need to make some sort of baffle inside the valve cover to stop it sucking up oil

All been going well until 6 am Wednesday morning half way to work I thought my lights looked a bit dim. Checked gauge on dash and needle heading left doh !!!!!
Spun round and got her home. Went to take truck but low on fuel so nicked the wife's polo and went to work.
Got home and checked battery and alternator (in the dark and raining ) and alternator dead.
So I doubt I'll be taking it to the swap meet as I have a very busy Saturday any way. Oh well. Weathers meant to be bad so not too fussed.

Bad luck there Gary.... Is it a single or dual field alternator??? If its single, you can have my old one (working). Can bring it to the swap meet if you want it,

Electrics sorted now and as it wasn't raining I thought I'd fit my nice new Mopar performance valve covers and air filter.
Oh dear. Due to having a weiand intake manifold the covers won't fit. The old edelbrock pressed steel jobbies have a cut out area to clear the manifold.
Any way round this or different covers needed ???

I did think about getting the dremel out.
But seeing as they are cast I thought this might create a weak spot liable to crack ???
