A bit of body repair...

Partially due to some rust & from when I ripped the rear quarter when trying some different rims a couple of years ago

A mate of mine came round the garage today & fitted both panels. It's nice when you come home from work, to see some progress ;)

Most of the plodge will be gone, after final sanding

I recieved new Bill Boards today, which I sourced through Graphic Express, after reading a thread on the forum.

Relatively hassle free transaction, duty charge was pretty good, so that always helps.

Very well packaged, even included a catalog & sqweegee (Excuse the spelling ;) ) applicator is easier :D

Visually they look OK, the real proof will come when fitting. I will follow up on how they install, look in a few weeks

Good luck :help: graphics guy gave up with mine...so i did it myself...not so straight forward!!!!
I noticed on a multi $$$$ restored Cuda that they cut the sticker and butted the join just a smidge where it meets the 3 way curve...right where you are replacing that rear panel Mark.
From back of marker light to the end of the panel.
makes sense I had to shrink out the creases that I got took for ever.

Updates a little slow, should be ready in a couple of weeks to update my thread...

Progress hampered by work .... off to the States Sat, back Tues 29th, home for 4 days, then back to US for a few days, then back 8th June

All being well, might be able to bring back my rear rims, which should complete the Amy look ;)

Billboards

Post by moopar »

A light spray of soapy water and warm the vinyl I think . The car looks like a huge amount of work and effort you should be very proud ( first custom paint job I did was on a 70 383 lime green Cuda In '72 )

Thanks for the tips on the Billboards, I will give it a try when I get back home. Worst case scenario is I screw up & have to get another set.

Finally was able to see n touch my new rear rims, ordered these back in Jan time & been sitting in my mates for months.

Rear quarter panel now all complete & painted, very happy, although got some overspray to sort out

Finally got a date for taking car for a complete re wire & new F/Inj loom. I do most things, but me & wiring don’t get on. I did it myself when it was purely a track car, but was never happy.

All being well, should be complete early July. Roll on the Nats ;)
