Nice little surprise find

Post by Demon James »

Having had the car nearly two years now and (what I thought) been all over it, I found this today whilst pulling it out of the drive by hand today. It was tucked up under the front bumper having traveled at least 4,000 miles on the road and a couple of days up the strip at Santa Pod

Best bit is, the key fits my door locks for which I've never had a key!! Now I finally lock the car (albeit superficially I suppose) :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

No other little boxes of money though, been all over the car now

I've found those on a few cars over the years, must have been a popular thing to do at one time.

Sold quite a few of them during the eighties. Was thankful I had one on a Granada I once owned.Fifty miles from home, parked up,popped the door lock buttons ,held the drivers external door handle up as I closed the door.Car locked and secure.Bananarama!,keys left on front seat.Luckily panic attack only lasted a few seconds as remembered magnet key box was attached to underside of front wing.
