65 Coronet - just joined
Evening all, just thought I'd say hello.
I just got myself a '65 Coronet convertible from the good old USofA and the next logical step was to join MMA.
I've had proper cars for many years now and I have owned my '68 Camaro since 1988. I've been through this car a few times now and just as I was getting ready to stop tinkering, I set fire to it, not deliberately you understand. I had a new carb fitted and tuned, got the car home and put it to bed, went out next day to start her up and WHOOMF...flames everywhere, petrol peeing out, nearly set fire to the garage roof, fire engines called, fingertips burned away. Not good at all.
Anyway, nice to be here. I have a couple of questions about the Coronet which I shall post on the techy forums.
Cheers

hello there
been a few fire stories recently
had a small electrical fire in my Charger a few years ago, due to an alternator fault, got away with replacing some wiring and a bit of polish on the scorched paint in the engine bay, I think the powder from the extinguisher did more damage, I carry CO2 now
