Bredgar Railway - Classic car meet - Sunday 7th July

Post by MattH »

May be of interest to Kent based members

Dear Car Enthusiast,

I am sorry to invade your inbox however as a fellow enthusiast of older modes of transport I thought this venue and event may be of some interest to your members.

Over the last few years Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway have held a number of casual gatherings of old cars of all types as well as motor cysles and commercals. We have a few of our own in the museum and it's always good to have more join us and have a generally relaxing time. For the first time we at Bredgar Railway (near Hollingbourne Kent) are having a more organised gathering. This will take place on Sunday 7th July 2013 and we expect a wide range of classic cars and vintage vehicles to join us for the day.

I realise this is coming to you rather "last minute" but it would be appreciated if you could let your members know in case they would like to join in. If this year is not convenient maybe another year. This event will be a popular gathering and we expect a number of car groups who have joined us in the past to also attend. We are sure you will find the event relaxing and entertaining as well as being something rather different. The entrance fee will be £10 per car which will provide access to the museum, trains and all facilities for everyone in the car. The fee is normally £10 per adult + £4 for children so it is a substantial discount. We do limit the number of passengers per vehicle so if you have an old coach - please ask about the fees!!!

For more details about our venue please take a look at our website – www.bwlr.co.uk. We are only open a few times a year. The next open day is this Sunday, 5th May, when the park is well adorned with bluebells. The following event, on 2nd June, is the Great British Day where we will be “assisted” by the Yanks and Limeys WWII re-enactment group.

Please find attached an entry form and registration information.
