My family wanted to get me something different for my birthday and came up trumps with these brilliant guitar straps! They had them shipped over from California, where they are hand made by a company called "Couch" from lots of different types of materials, but these ones are so perfect for me, I couldn't believe it.
My personal favourite is the first one. It's made from Vintage Cadilllac Hardtop Vinyl, from the 60's, which they found a small supply of. They don't make many, as the material obviously runs out, but they hand make them and they are finished to a really high standard that I've never seen as good as before. They even stitched this one to create a sunburst style effect with the different coloured stitching.

The one with the stripe is designed to mimic racer style jackets and is also made from Caddy Vinyl. Love the look of that one against a jet black guitar.
The last one is going on my Acoustic and you can tell pretty quickly what sort of material it is. Made from GTO Trunk liner that they found in an automotive clearing house, where it had been "sitting on the shelf for years". I love these things. A little bit different and really nicely made.
To top it off, my daughter put her name to a key ring plectrum holder, made from a very small piece of bucket-seat-sized 1960's Chrysler embossed vinyl they found at an old auto upholstery shop in New Mexico. They made a few wallets out of them, then did these from the offcuts. I'll never be without a plectrum again.

My family rocks. Thoughtful, or what?!
