Some great shots there Dave,i`ts nice to see stills as you can see detail like cars getting air under the front tyres, such as Kev Slyfield in his 66 Belv.I never noticed that at the time.
Also the burn out shots prove what most people seemed to be saying was true. The 2 that were the final 2 that came down to the "cheer-off" were the 2 with the most friends in the stands at the time and not the best burnouts.I saw all the competitors close up and had my top 3 as;(in no order)
Andy Tree in his 76 Trans Am.
The guy in the grey primer 71 Charger.
And the winner according to all the people around me on the grass bank side of the track---Some geezer in a white 93 Firebird.
I`m not taking anything away from Carl here as he takes a mint car out there and gives it death, good on him,a Mopar winning at the Mopar Nats.

I like the contest, its only less than an hour out of a 14 hour(track open) event,I reckon a panel of non-biased judges should judge the winner though!
O.K. Sandy,your turn
All though you could look at it as an hour when you can go chat to people without missing any racing
