It is however a perfect illustration of your point about the amount of work that went into some of these cars. Take another look!
I think I've cracked it, but it might look like I have insider info and I don't want to spoil the game, so I'm PMing my guess. :thumbright: :D

I could have sworn thats what it was, thought I even recognised the car too  ................do you remember that Capri that had the two huge stainless steel pipes grafted onto the rear deck? Wish I could find a pic.........................I still got most of my old CustomCar mags from the mid 70's, i'll take a look ;)
As for that car? Marina?

Nice link, Ade. There were several Ray Mumford paint jobs at the show these photos were taken at. The French Connection and the black Mustang with the Bullitt film strips down the bonnet were amazing as were the two Buick Rivieras. My box brownie was never going to do them justice back in those days.

I loved the artwork of peoplen like Ray Mumford, Geoff Ridgeway, etc.
Very talented people, some of those early show car murals really stick in your head.
I remember the film scenes on the Frech Connection Stang, the Enforcer Stang was nearly as good.
The cars that really impressed me were the likes of Andromeda, Revenge, the Fad T's were just so wild, paint, motor, upholstery etc :D

Andromeda is one of my all time favourite cars. 8-)

Always thought the door artwork was brilliant.

I exchanged emails about 5 years ago with Ray Mumford, regarding the Bullitt & French Connection Mustangs.. some info here:

www.mocgb.net/forums/showthread.php?119 ... tt-Mustang

..he's still alive & well according to his website!

p.s. I think I was at that same Belle View show, still got some crappy photos somewhere, and probably the programme!
