Light switch

Post by Lance »

May sound dumb but, I'm trying to get the knob off of the light switch in the dash (sorry 68 Dart) and I'm scared s--tless of breaking it. Can anybody tell me please how it's held on, I can't see any thread or any sort of clip, fell a bit of an arse asking such a simple question but I really don't want to break it through pure ignorance .

If its a turned type knob it will prob have a small allen head screw on the slim part of the knob as it goes against the switch bezel.
Same as most wiper switches ;)

It could also have a little button somewhere on the unit behind the dash (usually on the top of the unit, and a pain in the arse to get your fingers to), this needs to be pressed in and held, the knob can then be pulled out attached to the shaft.

Hope this helps
