For my father's day treat our youngest son took us to Shelsley Walsh for the MAC monthly breakfast club. He is building Mk1 Escort with Suzuki GSX-R engine but is currently using his Evo4 to gain track experience.
Wasn't expecting to see anything MOPAR but this gem was there

It's a 1916 Dodge Bros soft top. 37 bhp , owner a top bloke, he's found a period 4 valve head conversion and supercharger which should up the power to over100 bhp. Ideal with no front brakes, rear brakes swimming in oil and wooden wheels! He says he has 6 or 7 spare engines so not too worried about breaking a few bits.
It's a good morning out, lots of cars, a good value breakfast, £6.50 tops, and walk up the hill to walk it off. it's the oldest continuous use motor sport venue in the world, still the same 1,000 yds and same corners as when it opened in 1904.

Shelsley Walsh is a crackin day out in a great part of the country!
Not been to the breakfast club but know of a few classic car guys that have who have reported it to be a great day!
Not been to Shelsley myself for a few years, so may well make the next breakfast meet.
There is always an eclectic mix of cars that go up from Caterhams, to open wheel Judd Engined monsters. Most suprising for me was a mid 80's Audi Quattro..........
......Bloody quick!

The breakfast club is a time to talk and show cars, no actual racing. i agree with Carl that there are no Mopar. There was a guy running a 340 cuda in the 70's but since then the only American V8s are in the historic classes, small block Chevys in the F5000 class and big block chevys in old canAm McLarens.
I assume Dave81 refers to your year of birth? If so you are 1 yr younger than my son! maybe we could meet up and get a Mopar day out ? that's if I ever get the crock of S**t known as my 70 Superbee roadworthy!

Yeah 81 is the year....Something i started using 12 years ago on various forums and just kept it going........so 32 in a few months!
Your Superbee is probably closer to being on the road than my Dart. Looking to move house this year from Halesowen back to Kidderminster, so the minor MOT failiure list is on hold until i know whats happening.
2014 Sounds about right/realistic at the moment!:help:
Would deffo be up for meeting a fellow Mopar man!
