suspension angle

I'm getting vibration under heavy breaking. Wheel bearings ok, wheels are balanced, brakes pull straight.
i'm wondering if I have too much rake. The rear tyres/wheels measure 25/26" (standard dart diameter) but the front wheels have 195/65 x 14" rubber (havent checked diam).
The car is quite low, I cant get a DIY trolley jack under the front suspension.
Would too much rake cause the vibrations when the front dips under heavy braking?

I doubt it, more like a warped drum or suspension joint, check the idler, they are always going bad.

Or a front disc getting too thin and starting to warp some (assuming you have front discs.... and they are getting too thin!).

I agree with the above posts, I`ve had it happen on several cars/vans.

It's possible that as the car, being low at the front, is either close to or actually resting on the bump stops, and under heavy braking makes firm contact with these stops, rendering the shocks useless at the point of braking and also transmitting vibration...

Just thought I'd through a slightly different shade of light on it, s'all!

Now that is an interesting thought! i'll look at that too. In fact, i'll probably bolt a set of the old steel wheels and tyres on and see if it makes a difference and go from there.
