Yes mate, threaded plate bonded in the hood.

Still a big old girl, but glass hood n bumpers sheds quite a few pounds... but plenty of other opportunities ;)

Yeah, should be a good fun ride, without going to crazy. Anything done, has always been done with mind, that it can be easily put back to stock

Bet some days Jerry wished he never took up residence in my garage :D :D

Jerry has done a great job, I'm only helping with little bits

Terrific stuff Mark, it's looking really great and the attention to detail is superb.

My guess is the bonnet, boot and bumpers have saved over 250 lbs alone...I think this is gonna be a hoot to drive! :thumbright:
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

Well after what seems an eternity the old barge is nearly ready to be launched, just a few more jobs to get through and out for a spin. If all goes well I'm aiming for saturday week.Thought I'd include a few before and after pics as it's been a such a long time since I started even I've forgotten how it started out.

Couldn't find any original pictures of the whole car, but you get the gist.

Nearly ready to go.

Rear bumper is actually on now :)
