Jo-Han Challenger Funny Car 'Ram--Rod' 1/25

Post by mad machs »

Jo-Han, great small independent model firm, now sadly defunct, rumors abound that most of the injection molding tools were sold off as scrap by an unscrupulous employee, making some of these models extremely rare, which is a great shame, as they are actually quite good. However some of the toolings still exist & are produced every wince & while by Okey Spaulding.

The box art gives away the age of the kit, a nice painted artists impression of the car in action. With the box sides showing the details that lurk within.

The detailing of the parts can be described as exquisite, certainly for the time, I'd say the finer details are certainly superior to say Monogram, which tends to be a little basic by comparison.

The construction follows a familiar theme, nice clear well printed decals to finish the model off.

Yeah, always liked the Jo-Han box art. I once built a Jo-Han '70 AMX Javelin, with the obligatory mods using bits from the spares box of course. ;) Long since disintegrated and gone, along with all the other kits I built years ago.
