Dashboard on 770 Charger

Post by Anonymous »

After stripping out my Charger I've found that the dashboard is mounted on an very substantial (and very heavy) framework.

Does anyone know if this is structural?

Would I be able to replace this with a much lighter one, maybe a fabricated ally one ??

No it's not structural, you can replace it with whatever you like, mine is away having a mould taken off it to make one out of fibreglass.

Ok you asked for it, Remove, Heater, power brakes, power steering, air con, underseal, underfelt, sound deadening, radio, speakers, rear seat, and anything else that dosn't do anything. Any bolt on panel can be copied in fibreglass. Any component can be lightened, you need to go steady though you can excessively weaken stuff if you go too far.
