Great meet as ever, shame on those tarts who cried off completely because of the chance of a liddle biddy bit of rain, you, to your eternal shame missed out on a brilliant event.

Usual deal, old friends & new & putting faces to names etc, superb party last night around Guys place, shame he didn't bother to actually show up to it

My only complaint was daughter commandeering the Galaxy thus forcing me to sleep in the far less opulent tent.

Looking forward to next year :thumbright:

Those of us who cried off, well me anyway were only ever going to go in a Muscle car. Couldn't be arsed to drive it back thru torrential rain and couldn't bring myself to go in the daily driver. Roll on next season

Don't think he's a member but he's one of the Crewe massive. Had a really.good weekend despite the weather! Thank's to John S for remaining sober and driving us down to the car very both nights! My legs appeared to develop a tracking issue both nights for some reason....

Probably Dave Simcock's Challenger.
Runs a transbrake - always runs good numbers.

I did see Pete's (Big Block on here) Challenger in the fire up lanes but did not have a chance to have a chat.

I will let Don fill you in on the 'Bird in his own words......

It was very annoying today at 3 oclock we were still running the blue challenger dave made a pass came back in to the fire up road and they called it a day there was no rain etc etc but they said due to lack of interest they stopped the racing now we are able to hot lap this car and had 1.5 hrs left track time so would of been brilliant for testing etc, it was so out of order,
the amount of times we have attended this event and maybe only been able to make a single pass in a day due to oil downs massive attendance etc etc it made it a joke you pay to sign on for as much track time as possible not be told thats it end of racing due to the fact the public and other racers have thrown the towel in.......

back safe and sound, 'bird back in the aviary, 2 cold tins, took the dog out and now a 3rd tin. firstly, many thanks for all the warm hospitality, to guy and mary for the use of party headquarters, friends I already know and others I've now put a face to, micky d for being the only person I know ever to spit out one of Brigitte's home made fritters, blue for his 'leg' issues, and pete for out drinking me ... yeah I know i'm a lightweight! what a fantastic weekend tho. now to the 'bird, a massive thank you to pete for all his efforts to make the car run better than ever and so responsive, so pete says "just take the car round the pits to see how it feels" so off I pottered got to the top end of the pits, which were empty due to lack of attendance, and let her have it, went like a scalded cat but I ran out of road and braked .... nothing! pedal rock hard, 5hit, cranked the wheel and floored it into a donut and just missed the fence by next to nothing. I hadn't used the car since brands hatch but turns out that when I did those dozen laps the brakes got so hot they had melted the front brake lines effectively closing them up, so out came all the cameras thinking I was laying on a show, little did everyone know how close that was! still, over that now and cant wait for slyfield in 2 weeks where I fully intend to finish off them slicks! :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:
