Great to meet you Bryan and thanks for letting me run your car up the strip. I hope I didn't beat your own best time.
I short shifted 1st gear while backing off the throttle to get traction on those Cooper tyres. It seemed to grip better once in 2nd.
But you are never going to get good 60fts on that rough, unprepared, surface. I think we were both doing well to get so close to 2 seconds on the 60fts.
Lovely sunny day out though.

Yeah good to meet you and no I just managed to keep hold of the best time
All joking aside it was a good day and good company, thanks for the pics and if you ever need some work on the side you know where I am will probably pick your brains in the future.
Take care B.
Hey man it is a fun car that despite it's little "quirks". I sure miss revving a 440 on open pipes.
Just make sure that throttle is not catching on something. It really got my attention when I took my foot off after crossing the line and the car just kept accelerating for a second or two.
bet you two had a really good day dave, bit of grass roots stuff, bryan is a cracking guy and its good to see some use from that old 440 he had off ray,,,,
now you say cars were getting loose. imagine them oklahoma street racers around 15,2000 hp pulling up to 150 in the 1/8 them fella,s got balls off steel, i enjoyed that programme even though there was a lot off bs to put up with,,,
What I like about Kirkbride Dunc is that everyone is really friendly from the punters in their euroboxes to the guys running the event. It is all laid back and easy going.
There were even two guys racing their Bentleys against each other.
