Ignorance excused

It is a standard 5 speed trans with elec solenoid on the back end

so 10 speeds in total

1st lo - 1st hi - 2nd lo - 2nd hi - 3rd low etc

In practice you use a couple of low range gears to get going then shift into high range

It is by far the nicest yank truck to drive ... some of the old Diesel jobs are just pieces of Bananarama!. Driving position and vision is good in this

Got my Mopar enthusiasm back after the Nats

Dragged the truck out for the first time in months last night.

Fitted new sealed beam units, Hella side repeater idicators which are very close to orig, air horns, Monroe gas shocks.

Just got to wire in rear lights / underseal and paint the chassis then it can go to the body builder

Truck is in my very own commercial sized hi tech paintshop ( leaky old barn ) ready for paint tomorrow.

Grill and front bumper is having a fresh coat of white with white snake / mongoose style billboards running across each door and around the rear of the cab so when the body is fitted everything is painted.

The billboards will run all the way down each side of the body to the tail lights and be written in GOLDLEAF / plus some sponsor decals : Coca Cola etc.

We all know Dodge had the coolest haulers
