Boz, yes you are right. I'm just taking a longer look. I've ordered a camber gauge and will start inspecting this week to see what needs adjusting.
However, in total I want the car to handle better, flatter and with less roll.Wheels and tyres are just one aspect of that.
Three years of driving my Buick grand national really spoiled me! Excellent brakes, performance and decent handling. I'd like at least some of those attributes on my Mopar.

Jon, I have already spoken with Chris and you're right, straightforward quotes that looked a lot better than importing myself .
Just deciding on options. I originally was going for old school steeliness, but I do think my car will take to more modern wheels and rubber without spoiling its looks. No pram wheels for me!

These fitted pi55 easy Miles, 17X8 fronts on 235/45's and rears are 18X9 on 285/40's, with all that Hotchkis hardware I got on there it handles really well, took on a late C4 Vette in the summer and when he finally caught me waiting at a set of lights he asked me 'how a 40 year old car handled like that'Cannonball wrote:put your pic up for him ade,yAdrian Worman wrote:The single biggest improvement you can make to grip and handling will always come from large dia alloy wheels and low profile rubber.
If you want lateral grip in bucket loads you need wide, modern rubber, just trick suspension parts won't hack it without a decent tyre compound, sidewall stiffness and tread width

Just taken front wheels off and had a quick visual. Bushes for sway bar are knackered, showing daylight
Could use. New strud rod bushes and the body mount bushes on the K frame (unique to '73 up cars) need replacing.
I then ran a spirit level over each wheel. The drivers side wheel which is prematurely worn on the outside edge is showing positive camber so I'll address that too. The passenger side is showing correct in that it has negative camber and the tyre has even wear pattern.
Progress can now take place
