sorry guys asking to leverage some trade info regarding some work ive had done
live in 4 story house if you include the loft
boiler in cupboard under house next to garage on ground level
hot tank on floor 3
header tanks in loft above, x2 big cold tank and smaller tank feeding hot tank below
bathroom on floor 2
loo/cloakroom on floor 1 above boiler cupboard and kitchen on floor 1 kitchen hot fed from cloakroom via pipe under floor
mains in to kitchen up to tanks in loft and out to boiler cupboard
hot water and radiators on sperate circuits apart from bathroom radiators which only come on when hot water is on
just had a combi boiler fitted
heating is great. bathroom radiators swapped without lifting bathroom floor?? don't know how
hot flow at bath taps is very poor
hot water circuit from boiler is now a plastic pipe from boiler cupboard into house to a T piece a foot down from the tap in the loo on the ground floor.
this seems like a bodge but might be legit T peice has to impact flow
i would have thought you would cut off and cap the mains feed to the loft at the mains in point. extend the house bound end of the pipe to the boiler cupboard
join the other end under the floor of the tank cupboard to the hot water out pipe from the tank which by its nature come off the top of the tank and down through the floor
use that Ex-mains feed you cut and extended to boiler cupboard as hot water into the house....
then go and swap the bathroom radiators
he didn't do that chooisng to link into a sink circuit in a toilet that we plan to take out in the next phase of the building work
have i witnessed what normally happens or have i got a fella who has just taken the easy option
he needs to come back anyway as the boiler cupboard floor is wet
hes caused a leak on the water meter inlet
he's poured heating system flushing stuff down the bathroom plug hole and taken off all the chrome
just not happy, but is this warranted
