Even better if you can squeeze a 30" in but they are getting quite hard to obtain nowadays....

I have got some lower gears (probably 3.23:1's) on a Suregrip if you really get stcuk and want to swap them out....as a swap, not a sale.

And if you were doing this stuff in the early 80's when tall street tyres weren't available yet, you lucky lot!!..you ended up driving to Tony Dicksons with 4.30 gears, 26.5" rears and 4000rpm at 55mph, never forget it.....you lot got it easy these days

Still has to be A/T tyres though doesn't it Les ?
Not many " normal " tyres available ?

Back in the '80's I had 4.30 gears and 27" tyres, drove thousands of miles in that car, you can do it if you really want too. Mind you I had 5.13's And a spool too, not one of my better ideas.....

Yep, 325 Hoosiers on the back and skinnies on the front.
I think that Jeremy Clarkson would have commented about "Understeer" in the corners.
Mini Roundabouts were a hoot...............impossible to push the car if the front wheels were turned one iota.........
Actually, it was my Wife's car.............

Still very happlily married.
She ran a 10.34 with the previous engine in it. Was a bit Bananarama! at me when I wrote it off.......
She is undecided if she will drive the Altered though...........
