Any Tommy Vance fans out there?
Heard on Teamrock Radio earlier this evening that they're broadcasting TV's last ever BBC Friday Night Rock Show on Teamrock next Friday, 27th Dec at 10pm
Big part of my/our upbringing; listening to 'TV' on a Fruiday night and before that, Alan Freeman on a Saturday afternooon

Heard about that too Rob, should be worth a listen. Be great if they ever broadcast some of his shows from the eighties as well.RobTwin wrote:Any Tommy Vance fans out there?

the music was good and the music was LOUD !
new house has 25' high ceilings, 12"x12" oak beams holding it up and the walls are about 16" thick concrete and stone So I got busy last night with some of the old speakers and stuff.
so now we have a real ( not the chinese crap!) Cerwin Vega EL36 'earthquake' bass bin with a couple of B+C 12' coaxials on top to do the left and right bit.
A couple of ancient (70's) Yamaha amps and a,circa 1979 DBX sub bass synth.
Subtle , nah but loud YES !. The kids Kindle and Youtube works good, but that Mpeg stuff sounds lame, so I wheeled out my old Sony 300 disc CD changer that hasn't been used in ages, by heck.
oh yeah and the Earthquake bin has a shiny new Fane colossus 18B, built in sunny Yorkshire, I bought it on Ebay years ago and now it has a home.
I have the sound bug again!

- dont worry I put the lid back on the CD changer, a couple of discs fell out when we moved and it jammed up!

- lots of bricks in this place, the guy who built it was a stone mason and a complete nut, there is enough steel in the place to hold up the Empire State building and it's got real cast iron radiators in some of the rooms, toasty!
