When you buy machines or when old people sell tools at the car boot they both come with a film of oil to stop it rusting

WD40 just don't last what is it ??

Probably wrong. But diesel ?
I bought a mint 2.9 Scorpio years ago and knew that they rotted on rear arches. Used tu clean inside and spray them with the stuff now and again.
Never rotted ! :thumbright:

Ha,I used to use 4:1 Diesel to EP 90 :lol:

I'm restoring a sheet metal folder I have spent hours cleaning rusting fingers and would like to stop them rusting
