I just wondered how many wing cars are going to this event this year. Last year, other than mine there was Darren's "Sox and Martin" Bird and Bob's Daytona. Since then 2 more Birds have come into the country plus of course Davey B's car is making a name for itself. I was thinking of trying to get the wing cars together for a formation 'fly past' on the final parade laps if anyones interested ... I believe it would be good for the club profile and make for some great pictures :thumbright:

We need to nominate 5 cars from the MMA that are going to speedfest to be featured on the Speedfest facebook page, details as below. There are prizes for the winner and it doesnt sound like a concours. Read on and lets get 5 selected. Volunteers are good!

Be our Car Club of the Week!

Every week between now and June we are going to select an American car club to be ‘SpeedFest’s Sunoco Car Club of Week’, and one lucky member will be crowned SpeedFest’s Sunoco Car of the Year! There are plenty of prizes to be won, so read on to find out how your club can get involved.

Chosen clubs will be featured on our Facebook page for a week and the spotlight will shine on a different member’s car every day. We’ll share a photo of the car along with its vital statistics and at the end of each week fans will vote for their favourite. Keep in mind that this is NOT a show and shine competition, there will be no white gloved judges evaluation the shine of your spare tire well! Rather what we want to do is show everyone cars that most represent your club and American cars in general, remember, the public has the last say!

It doesn’t end there though: fans will get the chance to vote for their favourite American auto on the winners’ display during SpeedFest, and the car with the most votes will be crowned SpeedFest’s Sunoco Car of the Year and take home the prestigious trophy. Not only that, the winner will also win a goodie bag full of merchandise from Sunoco, NASCAR’s official fuel supplier, and a 2015 Brands Hatch Season Pass.

The competition will launch on Monday (17 March) on our Facebook page. If you would like your car club to be considered email details of your club along with five photos of your nominated members’ cars to americanspeedfest@msv.com (car images and information can be submitted from individual members, but please make sure to say what car club you are representing).

If you haven’t registered your car club for SpeedFest II yet, click here to find out how you can sign up to join the hundreds of owners in the car displays. Entry is free for the car owner, and each American

Do we have a full list of MMA members and cars that are attending?

Julie and I are going - we have registered the A12 Bee...

Who else?

I am not necessarily putting the Bee forward - the club may feel there are better choices from the pool of MMA attendees, I was also interested to know who else was going.

Clearly, I know Don and now Derek are attending..... :read2:

Yep, i'll be there and will hopefully be a little quicker round the track this year. Your bee will be a great addition to the fantastic line up of cars we had last year Pete and Del's Charger always looks a minter! Good to see your coming back Jon, we gonna see anything of the Essex duo - Carl and Gazza? :violin:

Don.
Carl and I are currently involved in the traditional Essex " Skintathon " !
Basically, we work hard and long hours for little money for the honour of being able to call ourselves "Essex boys "

This also gives us the right to rant about any given subject on line and at events after a few beers ! :D

What's the deadline for booking ? :thumbright:

Could I ask those who have mentioned above to e-mail some pics of your cars to the details in my long post, and mention you are with the MMA.
Thank you.
