More Saturday NEC pics

Post by Anonymous »

My turn to chip in.
Just had the Saturday there this year, and what an effort it was to try get to see it all.
Had a good chat with some old & new faces including some we'd met at last years shown on the Classic American stand.
Pics a bit iffy this time tho, as I was finding that the flash was doing little or nothing so I decided to risk takin them without. So please excuse the fuzziness, I tried my best!
Hopefully good enough to show anyone who couldnt be there, a small selection of what there was.

It was funny hearing passers-by comment on the prices on the MMA cars' windscreens, thinking they were for sale but puzzled by the $ sign! Not sure if they got the ponit......

talkin of Classic American, this T-bird should be hard to beat in their Car of the Year award. Supposedly totally unrestored, it's of a standard that most would be satisfied with if freshly restored...

Nice pix, but the black jag is actually a MK1 not a s-type, that's a rare piece - the only other one I have seen was one that my mate owned. Mind you I don't go looking for 'em. :Mopar:

Hi Simon
yeah, its a pain that its so tricky to get good pics in there - to flash or not to flash? Sometimes it seems ok. I reckon you either need a huge great f-o flash or a tripod, and I didnt feel like carrying either round all day yesterday.
Didnt get to see the cortinas :( , got a soft spot for them too.
Couldnt miss the Triumphs tho as they had about 6 club stands! Bit greedy, eh MattH?

Me too Kev. Had a Dinky version when I was a nipper (still got it & in good nick!), thought the real one was the dogs, in a futuristic kind of way.
Highlight of a school Rugby tour of France in around '75 :rr: :hippy2: was seeing one in a Citroen showroom.
