I'm sure with the help of fellow members/racers you will get it all back together,.......had 2 non terminal mishaps myself at the track and both times the friendliness of fellow racers got the problems fixed without me even asking, and I was up and running again, got Blue to thank for one of them.

I hope you get it back up and running soon without too much expense, even if its not quite up to the spec as before, you'll be out there and running.

Guy,
Sorry to hear of your misfortune, especially, after getting a PB. That's put me off a bolt together tunnel ram. Any help I can give, please let me know.

I guess they were nicely ported heads too??

I still do not understand why you have water in the Odd side?
Do you anticipate damage there too or do you think that the water from #8 was flowing across the inlet manifold (sounds feasible as they are the rearmost ones).

When I had similar happen it took the side of the bore out too
Got it sleeved and no worries.....

Sadly I have not got any Wedge bits that would help you out unless you want to change to a 400 block, but that will entail lots of additional expenditure.

As I said, gutted for you - if I can help out any way please let me know.....

Yes Pete the heads were very nicely done.

Looking at the water in the other ports I believe the water was being pushed up past the intake and up into the tunnel ram but due to the large hole in the chamberthe excess water was going back into the collant jacket hence the motor didn't lock I still expect to find that the rod on #8 to be damaged from where the bold first tried to smash through the head .
Yes there is a very small nick on the bore but almost positive it will come out with a light hone Well I hope it will.

Again can I thank every one for there kind offers of help

A truly great club thank you ..

Terrible news Guy........ :(

Pleasure of a PB followed by the pain.

Is the thinking that the bolt has dropped as the engine cooled over night as it ran cleanly the day before.........?

Really hope you can get this sorted for the NATS. Picnic would be a hell of an achievement due to timescales!!!

Keep your head up mate!!! :thumbright:
