Just spoke to James Caesley concerning passengers and weekend passes etc, the answer was: "that's an interesting question" !!! James is going to call me later with the relevant information.

And Pete, I've confirmed your hotel reservation mate, all good

Thanks for confirming the reservation - I sort of did a dry run today to Bromley to pick up some murdercycle wheels.

About 1hour 40 from my place in the oil-burner.....I think I'll stay Norf of the river where possible.......

I think they said they'd be sent out a couple of weeks before the event, so anytime now I guess.....

Well, James never came back to me on the passenger question and i cant get hold of him. Derek said he had some un-answered questions too plus he was supposed to be coming to Brooklands and did'nt turn up. It appears hes gone on missing list ... i just hope he is ok

As long as you can pay on the door if required it should not be an issue........

James definitely told me that if the car is pre booked in the passenger can pay on the gate (or hide in the trunk he he)

He was there at Brooklands last year Rob but didn't stay long, had a bit of a chat with him, I think Derek did too

I just got this email.

We are sending tickets out this week/the beginning of next week so your free ticket should be with you very soon.

Please note the entrance ticket covers the driver only, passengers will need to purchase tickets separately from http://www.speedfest.co.uk/tickets.aspx.

Thanks Derek, and just to add to that, Sasha has just confirmed to me on the phone that passengers can definitely purchase tickets on the gate so long as the car is pre booked

Yeah probably a good idea Pete.
I got the impression on the phone today that they just cannot cope (more staff needed maybe?) but the tickets are just about to go out.
It seems our James is alive and well and was sitting opposite Sasha, she said at 2.00pm ish "he will you shortly" ..............
Anyway i'm sure all will be ok and we'll have a great time next weekend

And Pete, yeah we'll speak in the next few days to formulate a plan, i've printed off your hotel reservation so dont foresee any probs
