Thank you for Brooklands

Post by Derek »

What a great day Brooklands turned out to be, the sun came out so did the cars, Brooklands had to open the gate early because of the queue that started to form.

Was good to meet our new Chairman and his lovely wife Helen, they did us proud today, Sinny with his speech while I gave out the awards and Helen for selling lots of club gear.

Good to catch up with some folks that I've not seen for a while.

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to all the Marshals that helped out this year, some of which stepped in at the last moment, well done chaps =D>

Also a BIG THANK YOU to all those that made the effort to get there today

Got loads of pics to come but here's a couple for now.

Thanks to Del and all the other members who helped out to organise another great show. :thumbright:

Must admit I spent most of my day catching up with me Mopar buddies. Your a great bunch of blokes and one of the reasons this is such a great club. ;)

Also great to meet some new faces and new members it just gets better !!!

Finally got to meet our new leader Shaun. Lovely bloke and I think he will do just fine at the helm. Although I won't be voting for him again as my show truck didn't win a prize  ( I even offered money.)

Fell in love with captain chaos's ( sorry mate forgot your name  ) sport Fury. Thanks for the look round etc. definitely got a Fusie itch I need to scratch some day. Need a bigger driveway first !!

Oh. Mustn't forget to thank Lead foot Kev for our mini convoy done a weeks worth of gas trying to keep up !!! Poor old truck. Low geared and on all terrain tyres. I now know how the space shuttle feels on re entry !!!

A great day. Thanks to all. :thumbright:

Stunning car Stewart.
And I'll definitely hold you to a ride in it :thumbright:
Good to meet you and your family.
You must post up your fender tag with the extra bits to see what it means ? Sure some one on here will know.

Thanks again for taking the time to show me around your car.

I echo the above. Thanks to all organizers, marshals and attendees. Great day marred only by an unintentional Oldsmobile gatepost interface upon return home  .

A big thanks to Derek and the MMA for continuing with Brooklands, fab weather and some fab cars, my favourites were the stunning 70 440+6 4 speed Cuda that Martin Saville brought along, the 65 patina Chrysler 300 and the freshly painted 69 orange Dart Swinger, nice to see the blue 69 Hemi Road Runner out again in the hands of Jimmy Wilson. Good to see folks and catch up with everyone, well done to all who made a very enjoyable day out, cheers you lot.
