Hey OOp, 1066 cruisers annual show is at Hailsham, east sussex, at the old Loom Mill, usually a reasonable turnout for their shows, so weather permitting i'll drive pinkie the 7 or 8 miles there
i forget the name of the road its on, but its the old stone cross road, if you follow the signs from the A22 into 'diplocks' industrial estate, go right thru and turn left at the t junction (next to a bp station), you'll immediately be on a miini roundabout where you'll need to take the second exit which is almost a U-turn ! that is stone cross road, its a mile or so down there,
as a bonus, Eastbournes 'Airbourne' airshow is on all weekend, you'll prob even see the red arrows from a distance ! or leave the show around 2 and go up to beachy head to watch the finally ! red arrows buzzing over the downs, low enough as you can read the writing underneath ! quite a buzz !
well pinkie made the trip with no faults, except its damned hot in there ! the round trip was about 17-20 miles and used around 4 gallons
Will turned up at around 3pm in the charger, and in general there was a pretty good turnout for the mopar cause,
i won my firstest trophy (in pinkie at least) too, i heard the occasional car revving the nuts off it and asked what was going on, 'sound off' competition' was the reply, so with a little encouragement i made my way round and was ushered into a circle of people, with no-one there to tell me what, if any kind of procedure there was, i simply blipped the throttle a few times (yes blipped, not rev the nuts off like some ! ) and drove out feeling rather embarrassed at not knowing if i was supposed to get out and say hi to anyone or not ! at 3pm i was told to come over to the main marquee with the car for prize giving, i had a vain hope i was a top 3 as i'd seen my cars number on at least a few vote slips, but my first thoughts were correct when i was awarded the 'sound off' trophy for the noisiest car !
Will followed me back to mine, and on the first roundabout we past a traffic cop car waiting to go over, not wanting a tug, i was as discreet as poss, barely enuff throttle to move, Will, however, hooted the generals 5 tones at em ! go Will !
anyways, here's a few pics, surprised not to see a number of the local mopars, Adam, tarquin etc, but still not a bad show with around a 100 rods and yanks,
looks aint the word Alex, they come in all forms, excited, happy smiley, shocked, scared and utterly disgusted ! i like blipping the throttle and watch up the road as people turn round like a mexican wave for about 200yds !
Will, great first pic (low down near the road.) Do you have a spider for a girlfriend, or did you give the Destruco Cam to a monkey you picked up at Longleat before Dukin' it over the fence. I like left field photogs. Keep it up!

The name is Kev, nowadays known as Kevvy or Pommie C***!

yup, spider. Otherwise i would have had to of being hanging out of the door with my hand almost touching the road, whilst driving on a dual carriageway, which of course would have been naughty.
