Had to go back to changing reverse to amber for indicator.

I love a try a bright amber LED strip, haven't found one yet.

Thanks for the link I'll have a look.
Yes it is hard to tell from the advertising but there are bright and then there are BRIGHT LEDs available now. The technology has really come on recently.

LED lamps for the home are now brighter and whiter than halogens.

I kept real bulbs in the front and rear indicators, just put LEDS in the side markers.
I know Mustang Mark has LED rear lights on his 69 Stang, and they are really bright.

you can get LED specific flasher cans in 2 and 3 pin

you can also just run a resistor in parrallel with the LED to make it look like a bulb to the flasher

resistor needs to be same wattage as the orginal bulb and similar resistance

35 watts?? is that about right for an indicator bulb? no matter its easy to work out when i find what an indicator bulb wattage is

= 12x Amps=35 watts

but you an go to town on the resistor wattage if you want they just get bigger and more expensive

2.92 amps

erm

Resistance = V/I(amps) 12/2.92 == so bulb resistance must be 4 to 5 ohms but its gonna depend how hot it gets that depends on blink length

get 6 ohm resistors to be on the safe side the bigger you get the slower they flash

then you can just use your orginal flasher can....

weigh up the cost of 4 resistors + 4 LED packages againts the cost of an LED specific flasher can for both indicators and emergency blinkers (some cars use 2 2 pin cans some cars use a 3 pin can)

Mmmmm

if you buy the strip LED stuff on a roll. the reputable sellers also supply a bag of 20 strip connectors

these push onto the end of the strip and clamp the solder pads and have a solder or screw terminal for the wires

LED strip can be held on with a couple of blobs of hotglue
