Ok.
The engine was installed and then after a bit of tweaking with the new HEI distributor she fired up. Took a few days to iron a few other faults that appeared during the run up of a new engine. The old existing starter couldn't handle the new engine output so a new mini-starter is now in situ.
I also had to put in a new Holley mechanical fuel pump at 110gph to handle the demand of the new engine.
So Anton has been running and testing her and been very impressed with what this engine will and should be able to achieve. ( dino tests are somewhere around 430 -+ bhp-according to the information received but ) but at the moment I will have to carefully run her in for the first 500 miles.
Anyway pics and Utube attached.
I expect to have the motor back home later this week.
Ive also included pictures of the old engine which I cleaned up and has now been moved onto a new home-motor so I look forward to seeing that survive for a few more years.

A very big thanks to Anton who played a big part in the install of this motor and had to deal with my million phones calls and questions !!
A top guy and his detail to the job was something I was very keen to see and look forward to.
Ok hopefully final passage to this thread. Just been out in her for the first time oh my god I'm in heaven... Brakes full on at the traffic lights and I'm having to hold the motor back on tick over ( is this normal) now for some very controlled careful driving... That 500 mile is going to seem a long way... Not bad almost 2 weeks to the day from fitting and were up and running.... Now where's that Dana !! Anton one large beer coming your way
No, you should not have to hold it on the brakes, maybe just cover the pedal...
Either the Tickover is too high as a result of break in or the Convertor is too tight.
How much do the revs drop when you shift from "N" to "1" ???
I found if the convertor is too tight it results in a very low idle rpm which in terns drops the oil pressure.
Also you can't advance the timing too much as that advances the torque curve which in tern makes the convertor stall earlier; it's a real bitch............

Thanks Pete think I can live with that just let the new lump settle in when I said is that normal it was tongue in cheek...and yes I will update when she's run in. Thanks for the welcome comments. Rich
In gear the car idles at 800 rpm and out of gear its about 1050 rpm and lower and the oil pressure drops off and the motor want to stall. Once the 500 miles has been done the oil can be changes and then the idle can be reset.
The break in oil is quite thin and once hot the oil pressure drops. Its all new the engine torque converter. timing is set to 34 degrees total at 3500 rpm as recommended by the engine builder.
