Belated Brands pics

Post by RobTwin »

Busy (lazy?) week, so only just got round to sorting thru my pics.

Met up as planned at South Mimms and had a leisurely (thanks to the 50 limit) run round the M25 and over the bridge, only hitting traffic at the entrance to Brands.
And what a balls up they made of organising the traffic arriving at the circuit!

Once thru the gate tho, we quickly got parked up in our spot just behind the grandstand in line with the start line.

Struggled to get any decent 'action' shots again, thanks to all the fencing around the circuit, but at least we got to see Don's laps in the 'bird (having missed them last year  )

Great to see and hear Don and the other 'proper' Nascar Dodge (the Euro ones are wayyyy to quiet! ) - shame he had to cut it short with the suspected head gasket problem :?

Couldnt hang around for the parade laps this time unfortunately, so got going around 5pm only getting held up at the queue for the tunnel.

Already looking forward to next year and seeing Miles's 'runner and Matt's Chally out on the track :D

Some great shots as usual, Rob. Not sure my car could grace that company!
Particularly like the JS Challenger there and also that subtly green 71/72 Sattelite with the pro mod touches, really nice :thumbright:

Great pictures as usual Rob, thanks for posting. Overheating issues with the 'Bird all sorted now so as long as my new header gaskets turn up on time I'm all good for Dragstalgia. :thumbright:
